Starting to get out of this rut of only watching one show and and I kinda want something light and short but will keep me interested🤔

Though I should prob catch up on One Piece🤔

SPOILERS FOR SPIDERMAN: BRAND NEW DAY
This is just my opinion, no need to freak out lol.

Just came out of the theater and wanted to get this out while it's still fresh in my head.

I will say it's a pretty good movie when compared to the other spiderman series. I like that Peter is depressed and struggling a bit. The past movies it felt like he was getting his powers handed to him, but this new Spider-man is respectable. I like that Spider-Man is is finally depressed lol. It's key to his character as a friendly neighborhood hero. Good direction in general. Absolutely loved that we got to see a non neutered Hulk. I hope they keep him like this and find a way to reconcile the whole Banner-Hulk rift and have them work as one. I think I just want a proper Hulk movie with just Mark Ruffalo and no one else, but that's besides the point.

I absolutely abhore the casual use of flock style surveillance. Like read the room dude. Very psyop Peter "Thiel" Parker coded. In general, Spider-Man should never explicitly work with cops. He isn't Batman lol. I hope with the intro of Jean and how they set up the department of damage control, he's more of a rebel and cautious of conventional authority like he is usually portrayed in comics and other media. Are we going to just gloss past the fact that Bill most likely knows what Peter looks like now? Dude didn't pass out when he was released by Jeans control. All we got was the punisher crying...

Side note: didn't like how they absolutely dumbed down Punisher. Frank is such a complex character. To make him essentially a gorilla with a gun just seems disingenuous to the entire Punisher series with Jacob Bernthal.

Kinda annoyed with the MJ situation. It seems like they're setting up a love triangle more that Jean is in the picture, but that just seems like a forced opportunity to make more Spider-Man movies. I hope MJ comes around like my goat CEO seems to at the end.

As a whole 6/10. Not bad, but I was raised with Toby; that was Sam Rami Spider-Man was perfected as a character. MCU Spider-Man right now, and the whole MCU in general, just seems like a desperate cash grab.

Like Fantano always says, this is just my opinion. Would love to hear y'all's.

P.s. Head canon: Dr. Doom is a user of Spider Tracker. That's the only way I can explain the end credits haha. Can't wait for a Ned vs Dr. Doom moment lol
