started watching eastenders and there’s so many plot twists already! granted i started watching the episodes from 2010 😅

Ayah, Ini Arahnya ke Mana, ya? 🥺

Becoming a parent is such a huge amanah. Raising, protecting, providing, worrying, sacrificing so much of it happens quietly.

And sometimes, from the perspective of a child, we don’t fully understand how much our parents carry for us until we grow older… or until they are no longer here.

This movie broke me because it shows a father who keeps his illness hidden from his children, still trying to protect them until the very end.

And that final scene… I cried so much.

As a daughter, a father is often our first love, our first sense of safety, our first example of what protection feels like.

Dad, the world doesn’t feel right after you’re gone.

Sometimes all that is left is du’a again and again, whenever the heart suddenly remembers.

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ

Ya Allah, forgive my father, have mercy on him, widen and illuminate his grave, raise his rank, accept every good deed he ever did, overlook his shortcomings, and reunite us one day in Jannah. آمين يا رب العالمين 🤲🏻🤍

And to anyone who still has their parents with them:

Please love them.
Care for them.
Make time for them.
Be gentle with them.
Make them happy while you still can.

Time keeps moving.

And once they are gone, there are no more ordinary conversations, no more random calls, no more chances to say, “I’ll do it later.”

Some things can never be repeated.

So while Allah ﷻ still gives you the chance, cherish them deeply.

Because one day, memories may be all you have left. 🥺🤍
