A Prayer
BEFORE SLEEP
Ya Allah, before we close our eyes tonight, please give us peace where there is pain, hope where there is fear, and happiness where there have been tears.
May our silent prayers become beautiful testimonies.

If everyone understood Islam through the lens of love, not one person would leave Islam.
The problem today is we have too many people with strong presence online but little knowledge or malaka, turning people away.
Muhammad pbuh was a mercy to the worlds, that's Allah's description of Him in the Quran.
If Islam comes across as scary or hateful, you're learning it from the wrong source(s).
Allah have mercy on this nation.

You will be buried regardless of what your worth was. And you will be forgotten regardless of your position, which is why you must leave a beautiful footprint and good deeds so that people can remember you and pray to God for you.

I am currently working but felt moved and the need to put this here. I manage a team of people, and we recently got some new engineers. A young man (21) after our meeting asked me if he could adjust his lunch time and extend it briefly. It was during a deadline we all had set and I advised him no. He then got visually upset and I asked what was going on for the need of adjustment. He then told me that he keeps missing prayers because of work and he didnt want to miss. He had no idea I was Muslim, and I didnt know he was one. I greeted him with Assalamu Alaikum, and his eyes got large and he said "what?" I told him that if he had said it was for that I would never have denied him that and he began to cry. He recently reverted, his family was giving him grief and he felt like things were falling apart because he had no one to turn to and he was missing prayers. I explained to him my story and what struggles I face even today, and told him I adapted the Alhamdulillah mindset. He continued to cry but it didn't feel like sadness, it was relief. I told him that from this point on to make his salat, and he asked if he could continue to come to me if he had any questions that weren't necessarily work related. I of course told him yes, and he thanked me so many times while crying and our meeting ended. I stayed strong in front of him but the second I was alone I broke down. A brother was lost and I almost made his situation worse.
Please brothers and sisters, do not forget yourself in this rat race and remember our obligation to eachother. Maybe Allah needed me to say no for him to open up, but it reminded me that alot of us are on different steps in this journey.
Be the light no matter what
