❤️ WHAT IS LOVE?
Is love just butterflies, beautiful words, and late-night conversations?
Or is it…
🤍 Choosing each other when life gets difficult.
🤝 Supporting each other’s dreams.
🌙 Protecting each other’s faith and peace.
🏡 Building a home where both hearts feel safe.
✨ Growing together — for the sake of Allah.
Real love isn’t just about finding someone you like.
It’s about becoming someone worth building a life with.
So tell us…
What does LOVE mean to you? ❤️

Sometimes I look at my parents and it scares me how much they’re getting older and it worries me.
I don’t spend enough time with my parents, but when I do, I notice just how much they’re struggling individually. I look at the lines on my mum’s face, and at how much my father has slowed down over the years. They’re not as young or able as I remember them to be.
Yet what worries me most is, could this be my last moments with them?
A simple conversation, intertwined with sadness. What if this is the last time I hear their voice? Will this be the last time I come home to my mum waiting in the living room, convincing me to eat the food she’s just cooked?
Will I come home to an empty house with only memories etched on the walls as a reminder?
I’m reminded of an ayah from Surah Luqman, one of my favs. Allah reminds us to be kind to our parents and to be grateful towards them.
The emphasis on treating them well.
Perhaps I can't change the outcome of their fate. Perhaps I cant change the things that frustrate me. But I can accompany them in the ways Allah has made easy for me.
And then I find myself wondering, what has Allah made easy for me that I’m failing to notice?
Anyways, if you’re reading this post, here’s a little reminder for you. Treat your parents well. Pray for them. Send them sadaqah jariyah if they are no longer with us. And perhaps even incorporate this dua into your daily routine
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
~ My Lord, have mercy upon them, as they raised me when I was small
