💍 Open to all – let’s be honest!

Out of curiosity…
I’d love to hear from both sides about mehr.

👰‍♀️ For women:
What did you ask for as mehr, and why did you choose it? Was it symbolic, practical, traditional, or something deeply personal?

🤵‍♂️ For men:
What were you asked for, or expected to give, as mehr? Was it straightforward, surprising, something meaningful – or did it feel like a heavy ask?

It would be so interesting to see the full range of real experiences from everyone. Share your story – it might help others understand just how differently people approach this. 🍿

Ps: talk from your heart not your mind

You've seen a SUPER GAY guy matterdaddy posting some posts with my tag name.
Here are the facts.

The bangali girl @taslima posted misinformation about me. She was not a victum but a loose end.
I'm not part of a group on WhatsApp. I saw the pics from a girl at a family gathering who revealed what's happening in WhatsApp groups. I informed @taslima what I saw and she posted misinformation about me.

The point is if you post your pictures here, it's your responsibility. So STOP blaming people and face the consequences for your stupidity.

Women no longer have to suffer like their mothers did"

For generations, South Asian Muslim women were taught that Sabr (patience) meant silently enduring anything to keep a marriage alive—including emotional neglect, toxic in-law dynamics, or financial control.

Today, that has fundamentally changed:The Death of "Log Kya Kahenge" (What will people say?): While the fear of community gossip is still strong in South Asian circles, younger women are no longer letting it ruin their mental health. They are prioritizing their peace over societal approval.Separating Islam from Culture:

Modern South Asian women are highly educated in both their careers and their religion. They recognize that many traditional demands placed on daughters-in-law are toxic cultural constructs, not Islamic obligations.

Financial and Emotional Independence: With diaspora and modern South Asian women leading in higher education and corporate spaces, they have the financial security to walk away from a marriage that compromises their dignity.2. "Men still want to live like their fathers did"Many South Asian Muslim men struggle to let go of the privileges their fathers and grandfathers enjoyed:

The In-Law Dynamic: In traditional South Asian households, a bride was often expected to assimilate entirely into the groom’s family, serving them and sacrificing her autonomy. Many men still enter marriage expecting their wives to fulfill this exact traditional role. The "Selective Traditionalist" Trap:

A major point of friction today is when a man wants a modern, educated wife who earns an income to help with the high cost of living, but still expects her to be a submissive, 1950s-style housewife the moment she steps into the kitchen.Lack of Emotional Tools:

Older generations of South Asian men were rarely taught emotional vulnerability, communication, or how to view a wife as an equal partner. Young men who copy this behavior find that modern women will not tolerate emotional distance. The BreakdownThe divorce rate is high because the "unspoken contract" of South Asian marriage has broken down.

The old system only worked because women were forced to endure the hard parts in silence. Now that women have the choice and the Islamic backing to leave toxic environments, men must learn to adapt, communicate, and partner with their wives—rather than rule over them.

Honestly I just want an Aaron P looking brother on deen, had a good stable income and is a good man. Wants to be an active dad and is a romantic at heart.

Is that too much to ask for?

Actually I just want Aaron to be Muslim himself and come to my door step and ask for my hand.
May Allah guide him to Islam and to my house.
Say Ameen 🤲

If you don’t say Ameen you are a hater.

Has there been days where you looked or shall I say stalked 😆 a sisters profile who pressed like on you?

There’s a guy I like and he’s visited me 4 x so far but not pressed like back! and he’s a gold member so he’s seen my whole bio, if he’s indecisive about a profile how will he be about his future Mrs lol
