Does Afghanistan represent the pinnacle of Islamic society living in harmony with the teachings of Islam?

If not, why not?

🇬🇧 UK Muslims, serious question… but let’s keep it slightly funny 😂

At what point did finding a spouse become harder than getting a UK visa? 😭

We say we want someone “God-fearing, emotionally mature, loyal, family-oriented and serious about marriage.”
Then we spend 3 weeks judging someone because they replied “haha” instead of “😂”. 💀

But honestly…

Do you think the biggest challenge for Muslims looking for marriage today is finding the right person — or becoming the right person ourselves?

Because maybe marriage isn't about finding someone who perfectly matches our checklist.

Maybe it's about finding someone whose values, character and intentions align with yours… and then having the maturity to grow together.

So UK Muslims:
What is one quality you think matters MORE in a spouse than people usually realise? 👀

And please… don't say “good height and nice smile” 😂🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️

One of the best decisions I made for my mental and spiritual health around 2-3 years ago is i came off 2-3 of the main large social platforms. I took a pause, a deep breath, closed my eyes, asked Allah’s help and deleted my account. It was tough but I’ve never looked back alhumdulillah.

This platform gave me a chance to scratch the writing itch and yes may have its downsides but I’ve learnt to appreciate the sizeable, modest voices on it and the halal social interactions it can create amongst young brothers and sisters.

I used to struggle to concentrate on longer format reading of text and books because of the constant dopamine hit I used to feel with the other platforms. My mind is clearer, I have made inroads reading Qur’an and I am keeping on top of my prayers better. I feel like people can really become really consciously lost and addicted to the endless scrolling habits.

Anyone else have a social media climb down?

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

My name is Fahad, 33 years old, from Pakistan. I am from a simple and respectable family.

I work in Media Marketing and have years of practical experience in my field. I am a hardworking, honest and family-oriented person with sincere intentions for Nikkah.

I am looking for a kind-hearted and practicing Muslim sister living in the UK for a serious marriage proposal. My intention is to build a life based on respect and Deen, InshaAllah.

I am willing to follow the proper legal process to settle in the UK and build my future there with my wife. I am looking for sincerity, not anything else.

If any sister or family is interested and serious, please inbox me. Time wasters please stay away.
JazakAllahu Khairan.
