I still see buzz words used in the wrong way here, by people who've been misguided thanks to TikTok influencers, so let me try to provide clarity.
Feminism, Misandry, Misogyny, Toxic Masculinity
What do they mean?
First and foremost I'll provide the literal definition in essence along with an analogy of some sort as well as the Islamic pov.
Feminism translates to "Womens Rights". Without feminism this app wouldn't have any women on it.
Without feminism women wouldn't have access to education and pretty much any social media platform.
It's important to note that we came out of a woman and should liberate those in our household, not domesticate them. Things blossom when they grow and if you love those around you or in this world. You'll help them grow.
Misandry is ideally toxic femininity or having a deep hatred against all men, by default.
Generalizing is the worst thing we can do as humans and unfortunately we fall into it all the time. But repenting and being self aware is what helps. We've all had bad experiences in situations but I promise you, zoom out and realize that good people of every walk in life do exist.
Islam forbids any kind of injustice or generalization against a group. As men we're assigned "qiwamah", which translates to guardianship and protection.
Misogyny is the inverse of Misandry so having a prejudice or deep hatred against all women.
Prophet Muhammad PBUH explicitly warned his Ummah during his final sermon: "Fear Allah regarding women, for you have taken them as a trust from Allah."
Toxic Masculinity is unfortunately how a lot of men today portray or perceive Masculinity today. In this instance, being a man is measured by how aggressive, loud, violent and tyrannical one is, whilst devaluing a woman completely.
In Islam, this is known as Jahiliyah (ignorance), The Prophet PBUH openly wept, showed deep affection to his children in public, helped with household chores, and never once hit a woman or a servant.
Influencers who preach that men should be cold, aggressive, and dominating have pushed a toxic cultural narrative that's not only decayed and fractured the brotherhood but is a spit on the face to the merciful character of the Messenger of Allah.
The other day I heard a guy fantasizing over UFC fighters and said to myself.
Isn't this what our prophet Muhammad PBUH called barbaric once upon a time?
Half naked men mounting each other for fun whilst other men cheer them on?
I'm by no means perfect or even close, in fact I'm just as flawed as anyone else but it's important that we tell people the truth on things such as this. Their favourite influencers don't and never will care about them. It's just views, engagement, click bait and money in their world view.
Read books, educate yourself, stop entertaining them and soon you'll fix yours.
Ameen.

🤍🕊️ “Allah’s promise is true.”
— Surah An-Nisa (4:122)
What seems distant now may, by Allah’s will, become beautifully close tomorrow.
Allah knows every unspoken worry, every silent tear, every closed door, and every trembling whisper of “Ya Rabb.”
He knows every moment you thought you could not continue, yet found the strength to carry on.
Perhaps relief is closer than you imagine, and blessings await you in ways you never expected.
🤍 Never let the weight of waiting weaken your trust in Allah. The One who knows your pain holds every possibility of healing, comfort, and relief.
⸻

Asslamualikum are modern expectations making relationships harder?
@SaadKhann9
Assalam o alaikum,
Hope you all doing well.
It’s been 6 months I’m using muzz with the intentions to get to know someone and if things goes well, will take it forward to nikkah done Inshallah. Haven’t been liked back so far 🤔😂 but I sometimes wonder how people judge or assume things by not even having proper talk. Even sometimes I feel like I might not have those things that people are looking in profiles and that’s why maybe but anyways I do respect every single person choice and they do have right whom to like back or whom not to but I’m having these kinda thoughts coming on and off so just thought to express myself so that I stop thinking about it haha.
Take care
@MistaZayn
Random question, Is everyone here single, or do people still hang around on this app even after finding their person or getting married? Just curious!
@Biscuit-Tin
I'm not finding anyone attractive and compatible on Muzz anymore. Haven't swiped right in a long while. Seems like I ran out of options. 🤷♀️
