Just replayed GOW 3 after many years.
These two legendary moments still give that first-time experience:
Ripping Helios' head off slowly with bare hands instead of simply cutting it off with a weapon, and smashing Zeus' head for like 5-10 minutes knowing he's already dead still feels sooooooooo satisfying.
During my injury last year that put me on the sidelines a couple weeks, I came across Skyrim.. 14 years late but man, what a game. It’s so good I still play it randomly at night. If you game and haven’t played, I suggest you do! A decade later and the game still holds its own in terms of quality.
Going out mid a Minecraft project is pain because why could I not stop thinking about what block palette I should use for the arches
FH6 has been released, and everyone's been trying it out, unlocking new cars and customizing them, some tuning for grip and speed. The graphics are stunning, the map is bigger, and story are dull, the facial features are poor, and the English voice for the character are same british accentis as usual. I wish they'd added a different English accent. There are too many outfits, the dialogue is dull as in FH5, and the cutscenes can't be escaped again. Ultimately, the game is about racing, and you want to enjoy driving high-speed cars, and score high point in drifting. My final rating for FH6 is 7/10, and for FH5, it's 8/10.
I think non gamers underestimate how many people use gaming as their way to decompress after work, stress, burnout or just life.
For a lot of adults:
gaming IS self care.
