Some days, comfort food really does mean comfort. ❤️

Whenever I’m feeling down or missing home, cooking one of my mom’s recipes, especially a dish from Gaza, somehow makes the day feel a little better. Today was definitely one of those days.

So I made a baked chicken tray with cardamom and vegetables, alongside yellow rice with a Gazan spice mix. The smell alone took me home for a little while.

What’s the one dish you cook or eat when you need cheering up? And does it remind you of a person or a place? ❤️

Everytime I eat roti salan I can't get that fragrance out of my fingers 😭
