Last week genuinely felt like one of the best moments of my life.

After years of training, I randomly walked up to the bar after a leg day, over 10k steps, minimal sleep, stress, exhaustion and a completely depleted day… and did 5 unassisted chin-ups for the first time in my life.

Not one shaky rep. Five.

The craziest part is I wasn’t even trying to prove anything. I was just hanging from the bar and thought, “let me try.” The first one felt easy. Then I did another. Then another. Then two more.

I nearly cried afterwards because I realised how much strength had quietly been built over years of consistency, discipline, hard days, heartbreak, stress, showing up tired, and continuing anyway.

It reminded me that progress is happening even when you can’t see it yet.

I’m also deeply grateful to Allah for allowing me to experience that moment. There are some milestones that feel bigger than fitness, they feel like a reminder of how far you’ve come physically, mentally and spiritually.

And maybe the biggest lesson is this -
sometimes your body achieves things your mind still thinks are impossible.

Work out, pool 15 mins, shower, dry steam, shower again, pool 5 mins to calm down muscles, jakuzi, wet steam, cold shower inside the wet steam, 5 mins rest then cold shower, yes that’s how you do it.
