Mind you, acting kindly towards women doesn’t mean submitting to all their whims and desires. You must act wisely in a way that’s pleasing to Allah. Because sometimes pleasing Allah could come at the cost of displeasing your own people.
Place Allah at the centre of your relationships while appeasing to your loved ones according to the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad pbuh.

THE CAUSE OF BAD ENDING
Ibn al-Qayyim (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said:
"Know that a bad ending – may ALLĀH, The Most High, grant us refuge from it – does not occur with the one whose outward state is one of uprightness and his inward state is one of soundness, this is unheard of and it is not known of – and praise is for ALLĀH. It only occurs with the one who has a corruption in belief or a capacity for persisting upon the major sins and an undauntedness to engage in great crimes. So perhaps that becomes predominant upon him until death comes upon him before any repentance, and so it seizes him before any rectitude of the inner self and is uprooted before turning repentantly, therefore Shaytān gets the better of him at the point of that difficulty and seizes him at that consternation, and refuge is sought with ALLĀH."

WHAT THE FIFA WORLD CUP CAN TEACH US AS MUSLIMS
Every four years, the FIFA World Cup captures the attention of millions across the globe. Stadiums are filled, flights are booked months in advance, and fans travel thousands of kilometres just to witness a single match.
Some spend large sums of money on tickets, accommodation, jerseys, and travel.
Others rearrange their schedules, stay awake deep into the night, or take time off work just to watch their favourite teams play.
To many, none of this seems excessive.
Why?
Because when the heart truly loves something, sacrifices no longer feel like burdens.
Perhaps the World Cup teaches us something far greater than football.
It reminds us of an important truth about human nature: people willingly make sacrifices for whatever they value most.
As Muslims, this should make us reflect.
- "Tahajjud is too difficult."
Is it really?
During the World Cup, countless people stay awake until the early hours of the morning to watch football, then wake up for work or school the next day without hesitation.
This shows that the issue is often not the difficulty itself, but what motivates us.
Imagine if our hearts longed to stand before Allah in the last third of the night with the same eagerness.
Waking up for just two rak'ahs before Fajr would no longer feel like a burden, but an honour.
- "Memorising the Qur'an is too hard."
Football supporters can recall incredible details from matches played years ago.
They remember scores, goal scorers, transfer fees, statistics, records, and even stories from players' childhoods.
The human mind naturally retains what the heart constantly engages with.
If our hearts became deeply attached to the Qur'an, memorising the words of Allah would become a source of joy rather than something we constantly postpone.
- "I don't have time."
People make time for pre-match analysis, live matches, post-match discussions, interviews, highlights, podcasts, fantasy leagues, and endless conversations on social media.
The reality is that we rarely "find" time.
We create time for what we consider important.
If learning our religion is always postponed, perhaps the issue is not a lack of time, but a lack of priority.
- "Islamic knowledge is expensive."
Many people willingly spend large amounts on flights, hotels, match tickets, merchandise, subscriptions, and entertainment.
Yet when it comes to purchasing beneficial Islamic books, enrolling in authentic classes, or supporting the spread of knowledge, hesitation suddenly appears.
Money itself is often not the obstacle.
Rather, it is our perception of what deserves our investment.
- "Being consistent is too difficult."
A devoted football fan rarely misses important matches simply because they feel tired or unmotivated.
Whether the weather is good or bad, whether they are busy or exhausted, they remain committed.
Consistency is not built on feelings alone.
It is built on commitment.
Likewise, one page of Qur'an every day, a small amount of daily dhikr, regular salah with khushū', or twenty minutes of seeking knowledge may seem small, but over months and years, these actions transform a believer.
- "I'm shy to speak about Islam."
Fans proudly wear their team's colours wherever they go.
They celebrate victories openly, defend their teams passionately, and never hesitate to identify themselves as supporters.
Love naturally expresses itself.
If we feel uncomfortable mentioning Allah, sharing authentic Islamic knowledge, or practising our religion with confidence and good manners, perhaps we should sincerely ask ourselves where our greatest attachment truly lies.
- "The journey is taking too long."
Many football supporters remain loyal to their clubs for decades, even when those clubs go years without winning major trophies.
They continue supporting them through disappointment after disappointment.
Yet some of us become discouraged after only a short time when memorising the Qur'an, learning Arabic, improving our salah, or striving to become better Muslims.
The believer understands that the greatest rewards are not found in this temporary world.
They are with Allah.
Patience in worship is never wasted.
Allah says:
«قُلْ إِن كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُوا حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ»
«"Say, [O Muhammad]: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your relatives, the wealth you have acquired, the business you fear may decline, and the homes you cherish are more beloved to you than Allah, His Messenger, and striving in His cause, then wait until Allah brings about His command. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people."

A Final Reflection
The World Cup does not prove that people are incapable of sacrifice.
It proves the exact opposite.
Human beings are capable of extraordinary commitment, remarkable discipline, and tremendous sacrifice whenever their hearts are attached to something.
The real question is not whether we can sacrifice.
We already sacrifice every single day.
The real question is:
What are we sacrificing for?
If Allah were to look at your schedule, your spending, your conversations, your late nights, your interests, and your daily priorities...
What would they reveal about what you truly love?
May Allah make Himself, His Messenger ﷺ, and His religion more beloved to us than anything else in this world, grant us sincerity in our worship, and keep our hearts firm upon His guidance.
