I don't really use this side of the app, since I am more active on the marriage side. Had it since June 2023, I just browse things and move along for the most part.
I've paused my search basically, due to how the last situation I was in ended.
However, I am positive to say I am still healed and haven't turned into a complete hater of women. I see many brother's on here who have wild takes but I guess each to their own. What I experienced meeting someone on here was also a wild case, but you live and move on. I'm glad it didn't stop me from pursuing anyone after that.
There's soo many anon posts recently, discussing personal problems. Is there an influx of therapists on this app? that solutions or advice is being sort from regular semi traumatised people.

Life is already difficult enough without also trying to convince someone to commit to us
It is not love if you need to keep messaging and they rarely reply.
It is not love if they are evasive or surreptitiously liking someone else's posts.
It is not love if they get defensive or describe your legitimate requirements for attention as too intense.
Let's say it again for good measure. The only worthwhile lovers are ones who don't need persuading. Those who like us a lot already. Those who never leave us wondering where they are or when they'll reply. Those whose commitment to us flows so easily that all the focus can be on the difficulties of living day-to-day. - Chris Williamson

Hmm so my sister booked us flights to London for April next year without even telling me lmao 😭😂 I need to start applying for leave the moment the new year comes! But honestly, I am SO excited!!!! I’ve always wanted to go to London, especially to experience the Christmas vibes. I don’t even celebrate Christmas but it’s still so beautiful!! Someday InshaAllah! But anyway, please start dropping ideas on what I should do, where I should go, hidden gems to check out and ALL the halal food I need to try! I know it’s still months away but I do not careee 😂 I’m already planning my itinerary like I’m leaving next week hahaha. And to my 🇬🇧 friends, I can’t wait to see y’all 😍 Like y’all better make yourself free to see me hahahaha
Dear brothers... stop messaging brothers.

Something came up recently that made me realise there's a complexity around blended Muslim families that I'd genuinely never considered before, and I'd really like to understand it better.
If two single parents marry, and one has a son and the other has a daughter, those children can grow up together as step-siblings and potentially love and view each other as brother and sister.
But Islamically, they don't automatically become mahram to one another.
While they're young this may not affect everyday family life very much, but what happens as they approach puberty?
How do families navigate hijab, privacy, being alone together and simply relaxing within their own home?
I started thinking about it from both children's perspectives.
A daughter should be able to feel comfortable and relaxed in her own home without constantly being conscious of covering because her stepbrother is present. But equally, you wouldn't want a son growing up feeling that his presence is somehow an intrusion or the reason his stepsister has restrictions.
And then there's the emotional side. If two children have been raised together for years and genuinely consider themselves siblings, how do you introduce and maintain those boundaries without making them feel separated from one another?
As parents, we choose the person we marry. Our children don't choose the family structure we create for them, so their experience of that home matters enormously.
I'm a relatively new Muslim and this is something I genuinely hadn't understood the complexities of before. I don't want to assume that it can't work simply because I don't yet understand how Muslim families successfully navigate it.
I'd particularly love to hear from people with lived experience. Have you navigated this as a parent, or did you grow up with a non-mahram stepbrother or stepsister? How did it work in your family, especially as you got older?
I'm genuinely asking to learn rather than debate the ruling. I'd really like to understand what this looks like in real family life.

I wouldn't normally do this but I think it's important to give deluded pathetic immature losers like this the platform that they so desperately crave.
This was my initial interaction with Isma. We left it there, (so I thought we did, being grown azz adults and all). I'm then scrolling my feed and see Anas has made a post, as normal I proceed to check out the comments. Lo and behold, she has commented, signposting him to the interaction. Very immature, very childish and very devious to subtly encourage others to support your fight against others particularly getting guys to do so. I had to laugh, she didn't strike me as a stupid pathetic girl. I guess you can be old but not wise.
@AnasElMenace I don't have you blocked (for some reason I'm still unable to search and tag you). I actually saw the comment because of your post which she had commented on. I ignored her first comment, thinking, whatever, it'll pass. Someone then liked my comments on the initial interaction and immediately I was blocked - yaaay a win for me 👏🏽 you know you've won when a bitter btch finally blocks you. Fine, we move on…so I thought.
Someone then contacts me with the interaction on Anas’ post, this time with an additional comment of hers which I can't see due to being blocked so they've sent screenshots. This pathetic excuse of an activist of a woman has since gone on, hour after hour, commenting on posts, one of which is anonymous, another guy btw, as well as interacting with others, calling me names and again signposting them to the interaction, all while having me blocked. Alhamdulillah everyone has ignored her attempts to get involved.
I appreciate Donut Girl for rightfully putting her in her place but interestingly my initial comment to Isma was not much different in that it was tone deaf and incredibly insensitive to the OP but to her she had nothing further to say other than “fair enough” 😂 🤡 the audacity to say I was completely out of line while not having an ounce of self awareness or reflection 🤡

This type of bxtchy behaviour is what she would be the first to complain about if she was on the receiving end of it. Imagine how desperate you have to be to respond to someone after 3 days just so you can signpost them to your beef with someone completely unrelated to the matter 😂 🤡
My comment clearly had an impact on you given that you've gone on about me all evening and night while having me blocked 😂 imagine living on a social app, do you not sleep? Had I known you'd be this butt hurt I may have altered my approach. Not for a second did I think your ego was this fragile. I'm hoping the offloading to anyone and everyone has helped you heal even in the slightest form. 👇🏽 🤡
Please can someone politely tell the spinless btch to keep my name outta her mouth especially when she has me blocked from seeing, responding and defending myself against her disparaging comments. To be clear I don't have any issue with her talking shiitt about me but to do it while having me blocked and also taking it to a private domain shows what a vindictive, spineless coward she is.
P.S. This post will generate an influx of dms. Please use this opportunity wisely to plug the petition. Don't ever say I never supported the cause ✊🏽
