Regarding this whole idea of “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” do you think hardships in life offer a chance at character development or do they actually have a damaging effect?

Good day everyone 😊 so there was a guy I met on this app, firstly he likes my profile and I he's back, we started a conversation that was so great and I decided to ask him a question "why did he like my profile" he says that he wants to know more about me and I asked again " like what will he like to know" he list it and I answered him. Secondly he asked me for my number, I asked him " why can't we talk here" he said that he busy and occupied with work, then I decided to give him my number and he texted me on WhatsApp, he is very kind and gentle to me, I told him that I'm coming back home for holiday he said that he will get to see me, cause he is from Abuja and I'm from nasarawa state, when I get home I called him to ask when he is coming, he said that he is not coming that I should be the one going to his place 😂 in Abuja.
To cut the story short he is not coming, that I go to his place first and then he will come, I told him that I'm not coming and also give him a reason for not coming cause that is wrong, he said okay and I told him not to call me again 🥺 and innalillahi wa'inailaihi raju'un, did you guys know what he said!!! He replied it in a text "okay" and I deleted his number and I came to a conclusion that some guys opened this app just for fun and wasting our time perhaps their are also good people here, I think by next month insha'allah I will be deleting this app from my phone for second time maybe my spouse is not here I'm just wasting my data under this economic period I think it's not funny at all 😒🥴😔
