Respect isn’t a gift we give a woman when we like her choices, and it’s not a reward we hand her only when she does what pleases us. Respecting women is a fixed human principle, and it’s her fundamental right as a human being, before anything else.
Respecting women is a duty that extends to every woman on earth:
Respect her... whether she’s educated with the highest degrees, or a simple woman struggling in life to earn her daily bread.
Respect her... whether she’s a working woman building society with her effort, or a homemaker raising generations inside her home.
Respect her... no matter her relation to you; she’s the mother under whose feet is Paradise, the sister and daughter who fill homes with joy, and the wife who shares life’s journey with you.
Respect her... in her strength when she challenges hardships, and in her weakness when she needs support that protects her, not breaks her.
A real man doesn’t look for a woman’s mistakes to belittle her. He knows that honoring her is a reflection of his own authenticity and maturity. And as our noble Prophet, peace be upon him, said in his timeless advice: "Treat women kindly."
A society that doesn’t respect its women is a society living in the darkness of ignorance; because a woman gives birth to half of society and raises the other half. Let’s elevate our conduct, and make respect a way of life. Because a kind word is all a woman needs to bloom and give you a homeland from her sense of safety.
