My name is Haitham Abdullah, I'm from Sudan but I live in Egypt. I'm a Muslim and I want to meet a girl but I don't have the money.

Just sharing this experience as a reminder for everyone using Muslim marriage apps to stay alert.

A day ago I matched with someone who initially seemed genuine. We started with normal conversation, and when I asked what she does for work, she mentioned being a financial analyst and also trading crypto as a side income.

At first I didn’t think much of it. We talked casually for a while, and later she suggested continuing the conversation on WhatsApp. But after moving there, I noticed almost every topic somehow came back to crypto trading.

No matter what we talked about — daily plans, free time, random conversation — she kept bringing up investments, market analysis, trading opportunities, and profits. Today she became especially persistent, encouraging me multiple times to join her in trading.

I kept politely declining because I’m not really into crypto, but the pressure continued. That’s when the situation became very obvious to me.

Honestly, genuine people don’t usually focus this heavily on money and crypto within the first few conversations on a marriage platform. It started feeling more like a setup than an actual attempt to get to know someone.

So please be careful out there. Scammers often take advantage of people who are emotionally vulnerable or simply hoping to find a connection. Don’t ignore early red flags just because someone sounds professional or convincing.

Thankfully I stayed cautious, but I thought it was worth sharing so others can avoid falling into similar situations. Stay safe and vigilant, everyone. InshaAllah.
