Rain and cold but fans stills showed up
Football was never really something I loved deeply before. I knew it was a famous sport, I knew people were passionate about it, and I knew many great footballers had made history. But honestly, I only started loving football after seeing Mbappé play.
There are so many famous and amazing footballers in the world — Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Pelé, Maradona, Beckham, Haaland, Hakimi, Dembélé, Désiré Doué and many others. Each of them has their own talent, style, story and way of inspiring people.
But for me, Mbappé is different.
The way he plays, his speed, confidence, focus and energy made me see football in another way. When he runs with the ball, when he creates chances, when he scores, or even when he changes the rhythm of a match, it gives a different feeling. He made football exciting for me.
These days, I see many people putting him down because of what is happening around him. But I still believe people should not forget his talent, his hard work and everything he has already achieved. Every player goes through difficult moments, pressure, criticism and ups and downs. That does not erase who they are or what they have given to football.
It is easy to support someone when everything is perfect, but real appreciation also means respecting them during difficult times. Nobody is perfect, and every great player has moments where people doubt them, judge them or criticize them.
For me, Mbappé will still remain the player who made me love football. One difficult period does not change that.
Respect to all the legends and great players who made football beautiful. But the player who opened my eyes to the beauty of football is Kylian Mbappé. He will always be my favourite. ⚽
