How hard is it to find find me a tall, handsome brown Muslim man with curly hair who’s a revert? 🥹
I downloaded this app a few days ago and I'm noticing a lot. There are many boys and girls who come to spend time and tell lies and disappoint us. Honestly, I want a man who will never disappoint me.❤️❤️
Helloooo, I’m new around here 👉🏽👈🏽
Eid Mubarak 😙🙏🏽
The Qur’an says:
“Marry off those among you who are single…”
— Surah An-Nur 24:32
And Prophet Muhammad said:
“When someone whose religion and character you are pleased with comes to you (seeking marriage), then marry him/her. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation and widespread corruption on earth.”
Classical Islamic scholars understood from this that parents or guardians should not obstruct marriage without a valid Islamic reason.
Valid concerns can include:
Serious problems with religion or character
Abuse, dishonesty, addiction, irresponsibility
Clear incompatibility that would harm the marriage
But delaying or refusing marriage purely because of ethnicity or caste
social status
wealth expectations
cultural pride
excessive control
unrealistic standards
wanting the child to remain dependent
is generally criticized in Islamic teachings.
For daughters specifically, unjustly preventing marriage is known in Islamic law as “ʿaḍl” (wrongful obstruction by a guardian), which is condemned in the Qur’an:
“Do not prevent them from marrying their husbands when they mutually agree in a lawful manner.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah 2:232
At the same time, Islam still emphasizes respect and kindness toward parents, even during disagreement. The ideal approach is:
•calm discussion
•involving trusted family elders

•seeking help from knowledgeable scholars/imams
•making istikhārah and du‘ā’ seeking help from knowledgeable scholars/imams
making istikhārah and du‘ā’
Parents usually act from fear, protectiveness, culture, or concern, even when they are mistaken. Islam encourages balance: children should honor parents, and parents should not abuse their authority.
