📖 Hadith of the Day — Seeking a Spouse & Marriage
Arabic:
يَا مَعْشَرَ الشَّبَابِ، مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنكُمُ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ، فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ
English Translation:
“O young people! Whoever among you is able to marry should marry, for it helps lower the gaze and guard the chastity. And whoever is not able to marry should fast, for fasting will be a shield for him.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī & Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim

Islam presents marriage not as pressure, but as a balanced solution for emotional, physical, and spiritual discipline. It also recognizes real-life limitations—so it provides fasting as a protective alternative for those not yet able to marry.
