Barely a week here and I already regret it , I can't imagine how some people have been here for years , I applaud your resilience ! If i didn't buy muzz gold (for the filters , to avoid time loss for both parties) i would have been gone by now , I guess the main reason why this isn't for me is just how life works , sometimes the people you want don't want you back (and vice versa) , not going to turn this into a sobbing post or make it look like I'm the perfect nice guy vs the cruel women who don't appreciate me (cos it's not the case ) , and I try to follow Sunnah (check previous post) by not criticizing , so let me make room for a funny anecdote instead , already shared this in Arabic but i guess most people here don't speak it so let me share it in English this time (next post will be about the time where I got locked in a mosque for hours when I went to meet a lady and her parents lol)
During my childhood i was shorter than my peers to the point I kept asking my parents for a surgery or hormones (alhamdulilah i have sane parents who did neither) , even in high school i was shorter than even some of the girls in my class but at by the end of high school my height jumped to over 6 feet and now I'm taller than 90% of people i know , now when I go to a mosque , even if I'm in last row i can still see the imam's back neck lol , but even if I didn't become tall (not something i can control anyway) , I would be thankful for all the other blessings Allah has given me .
Fast forward from then to 3 years ago when I was blessed to go perform Umrah , and that joy you feel when you see the Kaaba in person , May Allah grant it to every Muslim out there , after performing the umrah , I wanted to kiss the black stone (which in case you didn't know is from heaven and was white but got darker with our sins) , so I tried to get closer to it , and it's not as easy as it sounds , I kept hearing women screaming lol and you can't even see them , so crowded , even some womens' hijabs fell off (and I'm like come on , kissing it is not compulsory , women shouldn't go through this for it) , and you can't even see who's shouting cos it's so crowded , I tried to get closer but I kept facing brothers from Central Africa , and feels like you need to be a WWE wrestling champion to move forward , and although i can put up a fight with one of them if my life depended on it sure , but to kiss the black stone ? HARD PASS lol , i just retreated and kept making dua that i would be successful the next day , and elhamdulilah next day , instead of my black African brothers , i was blessed with Indonesian short brothers , so it was smooth sailing hahaha , I kept kissing that stone like my life depended on it , just a reminder that we are nothing without the mercy of Allah .
i'll try to share some anecdotes like this to lighten the mood , and hadith reminders which we all need to keep our faith in check , I'm still sticking around until my muzz gold expires in a few weeks then I'm gone for good ...
