The Distance Between Noise and Truth

We live in a world overflowing with noise.

Opinions arrive before understanding.

Assumptions spread faster than facts.

Expectations compete with our values, and distractions often drown out the quiet voice that knows who we truly are.

Noise is not always loud. Sometimes it comes disguised as advice, criticism, comparison, or the pressure to become someone we were never meant to be. It invites us to seek approval instead of authenticity and validation instead of conviction.

Truth, however, speaks differently.

It rarely demands attention. It is steady, patient, and calm. It is found in moments of stillness, honest reflection, and the courage to ask ourselves what truly matters. Truth is not shaped by popularity or applause. It remains unchanged even when the world misunderstands it.

Maturity is learning to recognise the distance between the two. It is understanding that not every opinion deserves your attention, not every criticism deserves your response, and not every voice deserves a place in your mind.
The more we grow, the more we realise that wisdom is not found in listening to everyone. It is found in discerning what deserves to be heard and what is simply noise.

There is a quiet freedom in choosing clarity over confusion, substance over appearance, and truth over the endless echo of the world.
Because a peaceful life is not built by silencing the world. It is built by knowing which voices to let into your heart.

Things I’m not responsible for:
My voice in voice notes.
My feelings before bed.
My ID photo.
And most of all… the things I say when I like someone and feel comfortable with them.🐥
