the people who'll get caught by it arent the old users, its the newcomers

if u see the same person returnin with a different mask, call it out
if someone is busy normalizin it, excusin it or dismissin it as humour, call that out too
because this isnt just about a few exposed guys
its about the culture that allows people to disappear, rebrand n walk straight back into the same spaces without ever answerin for anythin.

I wonder how many people were waiting to see my name pop up in that Discord group. I don’t talk bad on nobody and I don’t even know what that whole thing’s about…. but it’s entertaining.
Reading some of what has come to light regarding "Discord gate" is genuinely upsetting. Whether someone is actively searching for marriage or not, every Muslim deserves to have their honour and dignity respected.
To the brothers involved, fear Allah SWT. Self-accountability is not just for public reminders and gatherings; it is equally important behind closed doors, in private chats, group conversations, and online spaces where people assume no one is watching. Allah SWT sees and hears everything. May He forgive you and allow you to correct your ways. Aameen
The Prophet ﷺ reminded us of the importance of guarding ourselves from fitnah, and how tests can come through different avenues if we are not careful. This is why sincerity and self-discipline are so important. Every word we type, every comment we make, and every interaction we engage in will be accounted for on Yawm Ul Qiyyaamah.
At the same time, it is important not to generalise. There are many brothers who already uphold taqwa on this platform, who lower their gaze, avoid free-mixing, and conduct themselves with dignity and respect, remembering that every sister is someone's daughter, sister, or future wife. May Allah SWT keep them steadfast upon goodness, increase them in sincerity, and make their integrity a source of benefit for themselves and the wider community.
As a reminder to sisters, please protect yourselves as much as possible (especially when it comes to having pictures on show). Involve family early where appropriate, establish clear boundaries, and encourage brothers to speak to a wali sooner rather than later. Whilst no system is perfect, these steps can help reduce opportunities for insincere individuals to waste time or misuse trust.
Most importantly, my heart goes out to any sisters affected by what has been said/posted. May Allah SWT grant you healing, protect your honour and dignity, replace any hurt with goodness, and keep all of us far away from fitnah, indecency, and anything that displeases Him. Aameen
