A gentle reminder to myself first...
We're all Muslims here, and it's okay to disagree. It's okay to feel strongly about something. But let's not let our personal experiences turn into hatred, bitterness, or disrespect toward others. Everyone is carrying struggles that we can't see. Some are healing from heartbreak, divorce, loneliness, family issues, or disappointments.
Disagree if you must. Debate if you want. Just do it with kindness, maturity, and respect. The world already has enough negativity. Let's try to be positive because negativity doesn't magically turn into positivity. ❤️🤲
No one is perfect but do something good for your life
The men here talk so beautifully about relationships, women, and love.
Yet they're all single.
Why?
Because all they do is talk beautifully. 😁😁
Before Muharram begins, instead of getting into debates about who is right and who is wrong, take a little time to learn about Hussain aleyhis salam , his family, and what they went through in Karbala.
Learn why they stood for truth, how much they sacrificed, and how much suffering they endured.
Sometimes understanding the pain of Karbala can teach us more than any argument ever could !
Allahumma salli ala muhammadin wa aalaa alihi Muhammad wa ajjil farajahum .
I have a strange mix of pride and guilt after my mum’s retirement.
She is so giddy these days Alhamdullilah. She started working with an NGO that helps children with disabilities and went back to creating art and exhibiting her work. Before she took on marriage, teaching, and raising us, she was a remarkable and successful painter and interior architect mashallah.
I can’t help but feel incredibly proud of how interesting and talented this woman is. I keep telling her I hope I become half the woman she is. At the same time I feel guilty. She gave so much of herself to being a wife and a mother. We only ever see parents as Mum and Dad but they are individuals with dreams, passions, and a whole identity long before us.
May we ever be able to repay them for everything they have sacrificed for us. May Allah grant all our parents Aljannah.
