Stop over explaining yourself, if you know you didn't do anything wrong. The truth is, they know. Their game is just to confuse you. But prioritise your peace. You owe yourself that. Remember, they will keep on trying to humiliate you, and throw their opinions in your face just to judge you. The truth is, you are a happy person. Please don't take the wrong way, the reality is they are trying to ruin your life just as much as their life already is. It's best not to part take in conversations you don't feel comfortable in. It's very difficult not to react, but you will be reward greatly for your restraint. Not every response needs an opinion. Some things are best left alone. Your peace is more precious than proving a point that is intentionally refused to be understood. The sad thing is a lot of people literally go on a shopping spree to break each other down. We all make mistakes, a very few take accountability, while the rest run scot free. Rest assured that, the consequences in the hearafter is nothing compared to the consequences of this world. Allah is the Judge of all judges, and He does injustice to no one. Have faith in Him. When you will never fail.
