Ladies and gentlemen, I'd appreciate your views on a sensitive issue please. Would you be angry if your fiancé requires you to do a blood (STD) test prior to marriage, if they're willing to do the same too?

It never occurred to me before because keeping things strictly halal has been a matter of self-respect to me as much as a matter of religion and I assume the same for most muslim brothers and sisters. But a friend of mine who works in healthcare told me of a poor sister who was infected by her husband who used to be promiscuous - he knew he was positive for a certain STD before marriage but chose not to tell her. Yes both muslim! 😖

It made me realise how important it was to; 1) find someone who's lived an honourable life, but also; 2) ensure they do an STD test prior to marriage. I'd have zero issues with doing a test and sharing the results with my partner prior to marriage, but if my partner refuses, I'd be very concerned I think 🤔 What are your views on this??
