Assalamu Alaikum everyone, hope you're all doing well.
I'm adding these screenshots so everyone has the full context before forming an opinion.
Yesterday, there was a thread where someone simply asked, "How do you know you're in love?" At that time, none of us knew the person wasn't Muslim. I tagged a friend, we had a light-hearted conversation, and that was the end of it from our side.
Later in the evening, I came across multiple posts made about us by self-appointed "saints," making all kinds of assumptions and turning a harmless interaction into a public spectacle.
If the concern was genuinely about da'wah or giving sincere naseehah, wouldn't the Islamic approach have been to message us privately first? Advise us respectfully? Ask for clarification? Instead, the choice was to publicly shame, make assumptions, and encourage hundreds of strangers to pass judgment.
Islam teaches us to verify information before spreading it, to advise with wisdom, and to protect the honour of fellow Muslims. Public humiliation is not a substitute for sincere advice.
If you believe someone has made a mistake, remind them with kindness. If you don't know the full story, ask before assuming. And if your first instinct is to make a public post about someone instead of speaking to them directly, perhaps the intention deserves some self-reflection.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and disagreement is perfectly normal. But there is a difference between sincere concern and public shaming.
May Allah grant all of us wisdom, humility, and the ability to represent Islam through our character before our words. Ameen.
Don't be afraid of being alone; you're already doing everything yourself.😄😍😍😍
As a Muslim, I suggest that both men and women choose a partner who has true faith in Allah, as it is more valuable than anything else.
