Guys, does it really become this difficult to find a life partner after divorce, or is it just me? Honestly, it has been weighing heavily on my mind. I'm 36 years old, divorced, and sometimes I find myself wondering if I should have just stayed in that toxic environment and somehow carried on.

I know that's probably not the right way to think, but the process can feel exhausting. I still believe Allah has a better plan, and I keep my faith in that. What makes it harder is looking at the online world and seeing how much people's priorities seem to have changed. It often feels like finding a genuine, compatible partner has become incredibly difficult.

For those who have been through something similar, how did you cope with the uncertainty and keep a positive outlook?

IMPORTANT NOTICE:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So as you are aware ladies I’m a really good catch Alhamdu lillah, Allah huma barik. Some fortunate lady recognised this and now I’m about to make it official, hopefully in a few months insha Allah. I know you ladies will be disappointed but you missed out on a life changing experience being with me. 😂

Jokes aside my head is not that far up my 🍑 . But Alham du lillah I have found someone. Just remember if you want to find someone find Allah first, follow the Quran and sunnah to what Allah expects of you in a marriage and in general, reflect on your life which sins I’m I doing knowingly or unknowingly, intentionally or unintentionally. Examples —- “im I lowering my gazes, do I pray 5 times, do I actively seek knowledge and act upon it with ikhlas, do I ware hijab and so on” .This goes for men and women. #reflectononeself

@shaz when can we get a filter that filters out anyone with an active match/1 to 1 mode?

I feel like this is conceptually really straightforward to implement and some of us are tired of sifting through window-shoppers.

So I used to live in Leicester, right? And I always saw Muslims doing their Islamic marriage ceremonies in churches. Back then, I was like, "Nah, this can't be right 🙅🏻‍♂️." And I still think that today. Like, u are doing a sacred Islamic marriage while a false statue of Jesus is looking down at u from the wall? That's just wild 🤦🏻‍♂️ It’s definitely not good Islamically.
The Proofs (In Simple Terms)
If u want to back this up when talking to friends, here are the Hadiths written simply:

  1. Don't copy other religions
Islam says we shouldn't copy the religious ways or spaces of other faiths.
The Hadith: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." (Abu Dawud)
What it means: Doing an Islamic marriage in a church copies Christian traditions, which we aren't supposed to do.
  2. No statues or idols
The Prophet didn't like being around images used for worship.
The Hadith: When the Prophet entered the Kaaba and saw paintings/statues of prophets (including Jesus), he refused to stay inside until they were removed. (Bukhari)
What it means: If the Prophet wouldn't even pray around statues, we shouldn't be holding an Islamic marriage around them.
  3. Angels stay away
We want blessings during an Islamic marriage, but angels don't like places with statues.
The Hadith: The Prophet said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a statue." (Sahih Muslim)
What it means: Yep, if the angels don't enter places with statues, u probably shouldn't have your Islamic marriage there!

feel free to debate this 🙌🏼

Why are there people over 35 here? What's a teenager supposed to do on this app? Are your parents still alive? It's not this app's responsibility. If you genuinely need help please approach those who can help you instead of using this app just to pass time or beg for attention.
